We just wrapped up Boot Month today with our winner announcements of the Bridger Boots from Schnee’s and the “Pick-your-boot” giveaway from Lathrop & Sons.  You can see if you won by clicking here: Boot Month winners

Now that Boot Month is over, I’d like to personally welcome you to Backpack Month!  That’s right, a month of focus on Backpacks.  We’ve got great reviews by Rokslide staff and members AND OF COURSE some killer giveaways by the always generous Rokslide sponsors.  You can win a new Stone Glacier Sky 7400 or a new Exo Mountain Gear Pack simply by being a member of Rokslide.

It’s hard to find a place on the web where backpacks are discussed more than on Rokslide, so welcome to the party!  Below are all the links to the articles and giveaways, so click away:

Also, I’ll be attending the Western Hunting Expo in Salt Lake City this coming Friday and Saturday, so watch the Rok Blog for updates.  The Expo is probably the biggest collection of horn porn on the planet so I’ll be showing you some truly giant mule deer and bull elk.  I’ll also be stopping by the booths and posting on new gear.  I’ll draw for the Zamberlan Guide Boots live from the Black Ovis booth early Friday.

Always subscribe to the Rok Blog so you don’t miss a thing. There’s always something going on!  Click “Subscribe to blog” upper right under Fitness/Other links.

Robby Denning
Robby Denning started hunting mule deer in the late 1970’s, only missing one season in 35 years. At 25, he gave up the pursuit of all other big-game to focus on taking the best bucks possible. He began hunting the West on a DIY budget hunting an average of 30 days a year for mule deer. Robby loves the hunt as much as the kill and the entire process from research to scouting to hunting. He’s killed four bucks over 200 inches in the last 15 seasons, mostly on easily-obtained tags. He owns a public-land scouting service and runs a private-land outfitting business helping other hunters in their pursuit of deer and elk. Robby has scouted and hunted literally thousands of square miles of mule deer country and brings a wealth of knowledge about these experiences with him. To him, the weapon of choice is just a means-to-an-end and will hunt with bow, rifle, or muzzleloader – whatever it takes to create an opportunity to take a great mule deer. He is also the author of "Hunting Big Mule Deer" available on Amazon. Robby believes all of creation is from God for man to manage, respect, and through which to know its Creator
